Part 6: The Whingeing Wastrel Tavern
The crew unloaded the ships and scurried off to the tavern of the Whingeing Wastrel, the favorite hangout of the Buccaneer Beauties. Priscilla and Bess were the hit of the party, buying drinks all around, displaying the treasure, and letting their crew regale the tavern patrons with the story of Craigmore's defeat.
All this adoration raised the ire of Captain Scarlet Ravensblade, long considered to be the most dangerous and beautiful of the Buccaneer Beauties. She challenged Priscilla to a card game, and when Priscilla caught her cheating (after all, she's a pirate . . .), a fight erupted that quickly spread to the entire tavern. (view episode)
But even the fighting skills of a Buccaneer Beauty were no match for the years of practice that Priscilla had under the tutelage of old Dobson. She left Ravensblade disarmed, disrobed and utterly disheveled. Ravensblade stormed off, vowing revenge. Priscilla's crew pointed out that Ravensblade's treasure was now hers as well . . . Seems she was doing pretty well at this pirate line of work!
The reputation of the Pirate Princess was made. Almost everyone at the tavern asked to become a member of her crew, and Bess started signing them up right there and then. All that was left for the Pirate Princess to do was to find a place to stay, hide her booty, and outfit her ships for her next adventure . . . .
